  1. As some of you will have seen, I recently acquired a '24-plate A4 Avant, but it took me until earlier this week to really have a good look at the tyres that are on it - and it's not a pretty picture. I've got two pretty worn ditch-seeking Linglongs on the fronts and a mismatch of a Westlake and a Hancook on the rears, which are also both pretty worn, meaning that I'm going to have to stick my hands into my pockets for four new tyres. I'm just doing some research into some fresh rubber now, and I'm finding that the difference in cost between the 235/40/R18 tyres on my old A4 and the 245/35/R19's on the new one is pretty cavernous, and it's even more baffling that there doesn't seem to be any truly mid-range priced tyres for it. Looking at Blackcircles, it jumps from super-cheap ditchfinders costing £70-£80 to tyres costing £160+ each, with nothing in between. I mean, I don't mind spending a little bit more, but if I can keep the cost below or just over £500 it would be nice. What are you guys running on your 19" wheels - and where would you recommend buying them?
  2. Hi all. What are the recommendations for an Avant A6 in tyres. Thinking of Pirelli P Zero in due course, but just wondered if anyone else has any recommendations. Currently has Uniroyals and only one wants replacing at the moment. Thanks in advance Dee
  3. Can someone please give an advice on the following issue? I had my S8 2015 car serviced a few months ago, then recently noticed poor engine start, unstable idle RPM, excessive engine oil consumption. I looked inside the engine bay and found one of the plastic pipes going from air filter to one of turbos snapped by its clamp. That created a crack in the plastic and a gap between two pipes. I attached the photo. How serious is that and can the dust and moisture from air damage the engine?
  4. Only a couple of months Gareth, unfortunately need a van for work so it needs to go.
