Hello I bought a Audi A6 C7 2.0TDI Quattro almost a year ago. After a couple of months of driving the car I was at work in norwich when the car engine stopped at a traffic light because of the start stop. As some of you will have seen, I recently acquired a '24-plate A4 Avant, but it took me until earlier this week to really have a good look at the tyres that are on it - and it's not a pretty picture. I've got two pretty worn ditch-seeking Linglongs on the fronts and a mismatch of a Westlake and a Hancook on the rears, which are also both pretty worn, meaning that I'm going to have to stick my hands into my pockets for four new tyres. Oh dear, one small scrape on bumper for example and your insurers will declare it beyond economical repair, and pay you out just £1K to £2k ish. - one heck of a loss over your approx. £11K. Personally, I wouldn’t take this on the road until it was adequately insured. A Google search should come up with a selection of brokers who could offer you an agreed value classic car, limited mileage policy, which generally does not require a ‘separate’ NCB. Regards, Gareth.
