  1. I’m in a good place of having a son that’s in the game so no costs to me just parts but several years ago I had a 2litre 80 that popped the belt after I followed makers recommended mileage change I repaired it myself and it was never right after I took head to a specialist and he spent a week going to local audi dealer swapping bits because I could get it right so I never go more than 65000 miles on one now
  2. Sorry to hijack your post, but I thought the B9 A4 had a timing chain rather than a belt? Or does it have both? I'm confused!
  3. Hi Trevor, did they provide any paperwork or say whether there was a service bulletin recall? My dealer js adamant there's no recall or notification for the problem, makes you wonder if they're covering it up.
  4. Hi Gareth, the car is 6 yrs old and Its coming up to 55k so its time for a belt change. All well and good for VAG to now say its 140k with no time limit, BVR, my local indi Audi specialist has seen several let go with much lower miles, for me it's not worth the risk.
  5. Welcome Libby, Was the vehicle bought as brand new, or had it been previously registered, and if so to who? Regards, Gareth.
