  1. Hello mate thanks for the reply. Don’t know anything about the engine, was an ebay engine… apparently on 70k miles No the previous engine didn’t have this condition. I haven’t carried out compression test yet but that’s my next step. What do you think about the smoke from rear main seal? Would that be contributing to the issue?
  2. Ian. I thought you had fixed the problem last year: https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/30485-ross-tech-diagnostics/#comment-131935
  3. Lee, I have some concerns about you and the post you responded to which was 4 years old. This concern is magnified since you haven’t returned to the forum since you posted your short post - albeit only two days ago. I am now going to record this as Spam, pending your response.
  4. The front end of my 2019 A6 C8 drops when parked up for a day or two. Both sides drop down to the bump stops. When I start the ending it shows a red warning of it being low, the compressor kicks in and it pumps back to normal height. It has done this to some extent since new and the main dealers could not find the issue, it seems to do it more quickly now and I am keen to fix. I have tried leaving it in 'jack mode' and still both front corners drop but the back always stays up. So I am thinking either both front struts have a leak or more likely the control valve block is leaking internally. Is there a way of isolating the feed to the front struts to isolate which part I need to replace? I thought of clamping the pipe but I think it would split it. In terms of likelihood is it normally the struts leaking or the valve block?
  5. Hello all! Just posting to ask if anyone has had this issue resolved in the 2017 A4 quattro 3.o v6 tdi. When the car warms up after a few miles and worse in hot weather there are soft pops and cracks from chassis, over bumps, on braking, on pulling off. It is quite annoying as I have had coil springs, suspension all checked - nothing untoward. I have read this can be an issue with the particular model , 2017 b9. By chance i discovered a technical service bulletin "creaking cracking under load" for my vin number and just wanted to ask if anyone has had this resolved. The car is 10 years old - would Audi charge for the fix, ? Anyone had any dealing with this particular subframe issue? Any advice most welcome, cheers
